The New Glow Generation
In the past year thousands of women have started a new movement "No Make-up". Generation X have embraced aging with a fervor as never seen before. As we all know generation Z's are known to be the trendsetters, influenced by social media, and their love for dewey skin and glass skin vibes. They can catapult a brand with their followers or bury it with their persuasion. Let's just say at the moment "Girls do not run the world, Gen Z influencers may hold that title".
Not so fast. Pamela Anderson stepped out and glowed up. On September 27th Pam attended The Row runway show make-up free and the world gasp. It was bold and fresh and for once women felt emboldened to ditch the 1hr long makeup routine each day. Generation X's, are practical, we like products that have long lasting results, multipurpose, we rely on word of mouth and our dermatologist. Rarely are we trendsetters, many of us have relied on Retinol, Vitamin C and peptides. Most recently we're embracing hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide and of course sunscreen. We prefer simple routines, cleanser, moisturizers and sunscreen. We bypass serums, exfoliation and quarterly facials. For the few who can, invasive procedures are a quick fix but for the many who can't pharmaceutical products are just fine, and some truly are.
The reality is we will never look as we did when we were 20. We would love to find a procedure or a pill that can gradually remove the wrinkles and lines forever and as the old adage goes "only let others know on a need to know basis" Why? Because we're vain! We grew up in a supermodel era and most of them still look amazing at 50 and 60. So Pam showed us why not me or you. She ditched the glam fest and stunned us all. We are now embracing our age, taking care of our skin and taking an holistic approach by combining skincare with wellness and lifestyle. Using natural ingredients such as hibiscus, alma, sea-moss, calendula and a host of other botanicals that focuses on hydration, elasticity and evening our skin tone.
After years of trying to regain our youth we've finally discovered that beauty is in our glow that begins from the inside and radiates outside. We've lived and now we are The New Glow Generation. So let's show Gen Z's how it's done, because their clock is also ticking.
